Club Meetings:
Meetings are generally held in the Yacht Lounge the second Friday of each month except for a summer break from June through August. Meetings start at 9:30AM with conversation, refreshments, and a plant exchange. Programs (see list below) begin at 10AM, followed by a short club meeting. We generally finish by noon. A plant raffle is held at each meeting. Visitors are welcome to drop in at no cost. Annual dues are $10/yr. for individuals; $15/yr. per family.
Charter:
To provide an opportunity for all LOP members who are interested in gardening to meet and get together to share information and plants, to enjoy informal talks on gardening subjects, and to participate in field trips to local areas of interest. To identify areas at LOP where the landscape could be improved and to implement plans for improvement. The Bear River Garden Club (BRGC) was organized as a sanctioned LOP club in 1985.

Current Activities:
1. We are maintaining and improving the landscaping at the front gate.
2. We maintain a small perennial garden at the side of the Clubhouse entrance.
3. We have a volunteer effort to identify and report to ECC dead or dying trees within LOP which may be a fire hazard.
4. We support landscaping projects involving students and teachers at the nearby Cottage Hill Elementary School. |
